The Real Estate Advisor

Thank you for visiting my web page.

Who am I?

I am a husband and father.  Hopefully, a good neighbor and servant of the community.  I genuinely enjoy helping other people.  Also, I am a Realtor and a real estate investor.

First and foremost I am a professional.  This broad term can have many meanings.  To me it represents…

  • placing other’s interests first
  • focusing on the goal, not just the details
  • providing trusted counsel throughout the process
  • being proactive, not reactive
  • maintaining a clear line of communication
  • holding myself to a high standard
  • working with like-minded professionals in other industries

My desire is to be viewed as a trusted advisor.

Personal Background

My family and I moved to Collierville in 2011 from East Memphis.  We thoroughly love living in The Woods and enjoy all of the amenities our community offers.  Professionally, the first half of my career was in the investment industry.  I spent 15 years working at Morgan Keegan and FTN Financial.  In 2014, I made the decision to move down a different path.  I started working at John Green & Co. as a full-time Realtor.

My faith guides the values I live by.

“Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.”

Romans 12:16-18 ESV

My family and I are active members of St. Patrick Presbyterian Church in Collierville.  Throughout the years, I’ve had numerous opportunities to serve in many different ministries.

The second most important thing in my life is my family.  Suellen is my closest friend and biggest supporter.  She lifts me up and keeps me grounded.

We have three wonderful sons: Samuel, Jed and Cal.  They are actively involved in Scouts with Troop 56 in Collierville, enjoy reading and playing video games.  All three are students at Schilling Farms Middle.  Samuel is in eight grade and Jed and Cal are sixth graders.

Real Estate is a passion of mine.  Instead of renting, I lived at home after graduating from the University of Memphis.  My goal was to save enough money for a down payment on a home.  Through hard work and discipline, I was able to buy my first house while working full time and attending graduate school during the evenings.  I bought my first investment property in 2005 and have bought and sold numerous properties since then.

On a personal level, I enjoy watching the Grizzlies, Tigers, riding my bike, hiking, playing tennis, reading and working in my yard.  My sons and I have spent many hours playing foosball together.  Also, I have lost an afternoon or two binge watching programs on Netflix.

What is my business philosophy?

My philosophy is to treat the people I work with as clients, not customers.  What is the difference between the two?  Everything.

  • My focus is on my client’s goals, not the sale.
  • Managing the process.  Buying or selling a house is a stressful process.  I strive to reduce the uncertainty throughout the process, start to finish.
  • My objective is to provide the right information so my clients can make informed decisions.  This includes delivering the highest level of analytics regarding the real estate market.  Also, I present different scenarios to consider when a decision is required.
  • I respect my client’s wishes.  The one thing I do not do is tell them what they must do.
  • Provide value after the sale is complete.  I encourage my clients to view me as a resource.  This includes providing regular updates on the real estate market.  They are welcome to call me at any time for recommendations on contractors, restaurants and everything in between.

My mission is to add value and provide fabled service

My goal is to be the best Realtor in my market.  How do I accomplish this goal?  By becoming an expert in the real estate industry, placing other’s interests first and exceeding expectations.
